Lauren's 4th Birthday

1/21/09: Lauren's 4th Birthday. Her day started out getting ready ready for school and having breakfast. She went to school today and she said she had fun. They are doing something fun for her on Friday. Then when she got home from school we had lunch, her and daddy and I. Then we had to make her a Dr. apt because she has been sick and I thought she had an ear infection. So we got to meet her new Dr, and sure enough she had an ear infection. Then we went to Walgreen's to fill her RX.

Lauren decided to wait until Justin got home from school to open her presents. She wanted him to be here. So we made her cake while we waited to go get Justin. She choose a strawberry cake with vanilla frosting and sprinkles. She also wanted to help make it. She loves to bake. So she went to get her apron, she is so cute. And we made her cake. Then in the middle of starting that we had to go get Justin. She let Justin help make the cake too.

While the cake was baking we opened presents.....finally!!!! Let's see where do I begin. She got a My Little Pony that talks and has a binkie from Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Harold, and she got a whole baby nursery set from Grandma Nancy and Papa, and Kely & Johnny got her a princess card game set and a color book, and some strawberry shortcake pencils and a book. And from Aunt Bonnie she got a whole bunch of new fluffy scarves and a blanket. It is soft and furry. She loves it. And from us she got a new Princess bike and a beauty shop vanity set, and Justin made her a card and gave her $1 from his OWN money!!!!! (that is huge) After we opened presents we made dinner, and then played her new card game and after we had cake and sang Happy Birthday to her. She loved her cake. She wanted to eat it all in one sitting.

I would say that she had a good day. She got a bit cranky at dinner time, but she has been sick and not feeling well, so I gave her a break and let it slide. She went to bed and slept with her new pony, her name is Rainbow Dash and has rainbow hair. She is super cute.

She was aware that no body was here for her birthday, but she was ok with it. She said that Grandma and Papa are coming soon to visit, and then Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Harold are moving her in 2 weeks. She is very up to date on what is going on. She listens to my conversations well. I better keep an eye on that.........
