5/22/12:  Lauren's Spring Dance Recital.  WOW....she did so great!!  She was a bit nervous, but she did wonderful.  Brought tears to our eyes.  She is learning so much and having such a great time doing it.  She truly loves it.  She can't wait to start back up in the Fall when school starts again.  We are so proud of her.  Below is the video of her dance.  She is in the front row on the right side, she is NOT wearing her glasses though.  You can enlarge the video to see it better by clicking the far lower right hand corner of video.   It's a little more blurry that way, but ok.

Justin's Pine Wood Derby

5/10/12:

Justin's Pine Wood Derby for Scouts.  He did such a great job making his car this year.  With very little help from Dad.  Justin chose to stain his car to make it have a natural look.  Jason bought him some cool paint colos but he wanted to stain it.  He ended up getting tons of compliments from everyone that night.  Sons and dads alike!!!  Out of 8 races he placed 1st four times and 2nd place three times and one 3rd place.  He got First place in his Den of Weblos, and 3rd place over all of the whole pack, and was awarded a title for his cool car..."Best Woody".  He was very pleased with his results!!  We had a great night that night!!

Lauren's Let's Play Music Class recital

Justin's Piano Recital

12/05/11: Justin had his Winter Piano recital. He did so good. He played 3 songs, O Holy Night and Oh Come All Ye Faithful and Little Drummer boy. Little Drummer Boy is one of my Moms favorite Christmas songs. So Justin surprised Grandma and turned around and said "This song I have been working on for my Grandma"....it was so sweet, Grandma was so happy, she cried of course!!! He was pretty excited about his surprise. I was not able to record Oh Come All Ye Faithful due to a camera malfunction...sorry! Listen to the video's below, don't forget to scroll down to pause the background music first!

Lauren's Fall concert at school

10/25/11: Lauren's Fall Concert at school. She was so excited all day leading up to the concert. She kept singing her songs and running around in her skirt like a crazy person! She sang so good. She smiled and put on her best show! I know the pictures are a little dark, it's my lame camera, the zoom does not work hardly at all. She was a pro up there.

Pumpkin Patch

10/21/11: We went to the Pumpkin Patch. The kids were super excited. I am glad that Justin still gets excited about these things. Sometimes he acts "so old" you never know. This is also why there are more pictures of Lauren then Justin, he is loosing interest in posing for pictures for me....he would rather just hang out next to dad looking cool! Lauren on the other hand loves taking pictures, so at least I still have her to look silly!!
We took a hay bale ride out to the pumpkin patch and searched for pumpkins, we originally told the kids to keep it small, but then of course Jp starts in and before you know it both kids had huge pumpkins. Justin's was 41 lbs. and Laurens was 32 lbs. YIKES!!! They are perfect carving size though. I will add the carving pictures after we do it.
Also, the kids are dressed in their school spirit wear, every Friday is spirit wear day!! So cute!
