Baby Laney Flud finally arrives

12/1/09: Baby Laney Collen Flud arrives. She was born at 4:33 pm and weighed 7 lbs 10 oz and was 21 inches long. She is cute. She has a perfectly round little face with a little chubby on her cheeks!!! Kely did great. She was a champ. Johnny was so excited for her to come as we all were. We had been waiting on stand by for 2 weeks thinking she was going to come early.

Waylon was funny when he saw her for the first time. He was a little shy and not quite sure what was going on. But after a few minutes he warmed up and wanted to hold her. He was fascinated by her little tiny toes and fingers. He was holding her fingers and when she wrapped her fingers around his he totally laughed. And then when she cried his eyes got really big and he smiled and then covered his face. It was cute.

He enjoyed watching her get her first bath through the windows at the nursery. He was watching her very carefully. And making faces at daddy.

They are home now and doing great. Still adjusting. So far Laney is turning out to be a good baby, we just hope she stays that way. Waylon is still adjusting and getting use to what "Gentle" means. But he is coming around. He is also being very protective of her. When other people hold her he is right there watching over you. Very Cute!!!

Now I just have to keep my thoughts of another baby out of my head.............
