Pumpkin carving

10/26/09: Justin & Lauren decided to carve their pumpkins despite being sick. They took advantage of the 4 hour window of feeling good due to the Tylenol dose they both had. Justin's pumpkin was so big that Jason had to help him with it and use a big knife instead of the little pumpkin carving knives. He also had to help cut into it a little, it was really thick. And it took him forever to clean it out.
Lauren needed alot more help with her pumpkin mainly because she was too small and did not have the strength to cut it by herself. So I helped out with it. Justin went for scary face and Lauren went for fun nice happy face.
They were excited to put the candles in to see what it looked like in the dark. We waited until morning to put them on the porch because it was raining pretty hard last night. But now the porch is all decorated with Halloween themed items.
We also are roasting our pumpkin seeds. this is daddy's favorite part. He loves pumpkin seeds. We are also going to plant a few of the pumpkin seeds at Grandma & Grandpa's house in their big garden and see if we can grow our own pumpkins for next year. The kids are excited about that for sure. If we do grow our own I am sure the kids will STILL want to go to the Pumpkin patch and do all the other fun stuff there. So until next year......
