5/16/09: Lauren raced her first training wheel race. It was so cute. There were a couple other bikes that didn't have training wheels, which we think is not fair, but whatever. Anyway, she was so excited. She talked about it all week and was so anxious to get there. She wore her riding gear and her helmet, that have all been passed down by big brother Justin. She was not even scared or shy, and some of those hills were pretty steep. They don't look it in the pictures, but when you are on top of them and a little girl, they are pretty scary.
She did really good. Grandma and Caryn and Caitlyn came to watch. And now even Caitlyn wants to race her bike next week. Jason was so proud and smiling from ear to ear. But Lauren was so proud of herself. She even got her very own trophy. She is so excited about that. She was walking up to everyone showing them, and would not put it down. When we got home from the race she wanted to show all the neighbor kids too.

I cannot even begin to tell you how stinking cute this post is. Lauren is THE CUTEST thing ever, I so wish we could have been there. Let us know the next one, maybe we can make it.

She is so cute! I agree with you that its not a fair race if others dont have training wheels. Looks like Jason will be getting a workout every weekend chasing her around :) Hopefully one day we will be able to see them both race in person again
