Hope you all had a great day. We sure did. The kids had a blast. They have missed their cousins so much. So it was great for them to be able to play together again.
We all went to my parents house. It was the first big family event in their new home. We were all there, except Johnny,Kely, and Waylon. We sure missed them. But they will be here for the next family event I am sure. We had an Easter Egg Hunt, and played on the swing set. The kids rode the quads and rode in the trailer for the quad. Bryan was the chauffeur. It was super cute. I think the kids ate enough candy to last them a life time.
We also had a great dinner. I put my baking skills to the test too. I made homemade dinner rolls, and potatoe salad, deviled eggs, and my moms famous Buttermilk Brownies.....I think mine were better then my moms......shhh!!! We baked a HUGE ham. It was so good. We all ate until we were stuffed. But that did not stop the kids from eating more candy. Good Grief!!!!
The weather was perfect here. What a beautiful day. Justin even got the beginning of his first tan line across the back of his neck. He is going to get dark this year, I can already tell. All in all it was a wonderful family filled day. I have missed my family so much, and I try to keep a positive attitude, and be patient until they can all be here. So far it is us, my parents, and Now Caryn and Caitlyn. Hopefully Johnny, Kely, and Waylon will be here this summer, and then the Gatchell's and then Desi and the girls. Deanna won't be coming for a few years. Patience, I say, Patience. This is not my best subject.
Happy Easter!!!!!
