It finally snowed!!!!

1/23/09: Yeah.....it finally snowed. We have been waiting for 2 weeks for it to snow here. It had snowed the day before we got here on the 8th, but nothing since. While we were eating dinner last night, we were looking out our sliding glass door to the backyard and saw the start of some snow. It was not much and only lasted about 10 minutes. And it melted when it hit the ground. The kids were bummed because they have been wanting it to snow so badly. Neither one of them have seen it snow in person before so they were pretty excited.

So when we woke up this morning to get ready for school, we looked out the window, and it was still a little dark, but you could see white everywhere. Justin and Lauren screamed and jumped up on the window seat in my closet to look out the window for a better look. (yeah that's right, my new closet is so big it has a window seat....hee hee, I love it) They were so excited like Christmas morning, and ran downstairs to daddy's office to tell him that it snowed. It was super cute. They wanted to go out and play in it, but we had to get ready for school. I told them if it is still here when they get home they could play in it then. A lot of times the snow just melts by mid day. It was really not very much. Just enough that it dusted everything to make it look like it was a lot. Maybe 1/2 inch if that.

So you see, it does not take much to entertain us folks from Cali......:o) Just wanted to share with you all our excitement for the day.
