Jason's new truck

3/21/08: Jason got a new truck!!!!! In the wee hours of Friday morning, Jason came upstairs to wake me to inform me that "Ito" had died. For those of you who don't know, "Ito" was the name of Jason's previous car. His beloved car that he had for 14 years. It was a 1989 Nissan 240 SX. It was his favorite thing. He had that car before we started dating. Let me tell you, it had some memories and some miles on it. Over 200,000 miles. This car has died so many times and Jason refused to let it be. He brought it back to life so many times. He refused to let it go. Plus we had no car payment for 6 years now. And he didn't want another one anytime soon. This car had everything wrong with you can could imagine. But it stuck it out with us for so many years. I tried to get Jason to get a new car so many times, but he wouldn't do it. He loved that car. So instead we just kept buying me new cars........:o) I have had 4 cars to his one. You know I was going to take advantage of that!!!!

So Friday, Jason took my car to work. And by Noon I had found him a truck that would soot him perfect. We drove all the way to Auburn to get it too. That was rough. But it is perfect for what we wanted. It is a Nissan Frontier crew cab supercharged long-bed.....w/e all that means!!!!! I really wanted a crew cab with four doors so that we could all go in it comfortably. And it had to stay a smaller truck, no V8's it is still his commute car too. And with gas as much as it is, we had to stay with a V6. So all is well. And it fits his and Justin's dirt bikes. The next morning, that is exactly what they did. Justin and daddy went dirt bike riding in daddy's new truck.

So to say the least, he is happy. And so am I. I guess he has waited long enough. I just hope that we don't have to buy another car for awhile.
