8/16/10: So Aunt Bonnie finally made her trip out to see us. We had so much fun and did so many things. I don't even think I can fit them all in. To start the kids made welcome signs for her at the airport, that was so fun, and Bonnie really liked it. We went to the Caldwell Night Rodeo, Wahooz (like Scandia), Build-A-Bear, the old Train Depot in Boise, Mc Call, out to the Corn's (friends & neighbors to my parents) to see their farm pigs and piggies. We did some shopping, went to some great antique stores, out to some yummy restaurants. We had a blast and were exhausted when her trip came to an end. I am sure she was more tired then us.
We so enjoyed having her here. The kids loved it. It has been about 4 years since we last saw her and Justin was only about 2 and Lauren was a baby, so for them to get to spend time with her now that they are older was wonderful. They played games with her, and went for walks, and to the park. They now have an in-person relationship with her and love her to pieces. They are even talking about other things to do with her next time she comes. We can't wait for that. We are going to try and plan a trip to see her next spring.....we hope we can make it happen.
