8/20/09: Today Lauren and I went to our friends house, Kari & Jamison. Jamison goes to Lauren's school and they do dance/gymnastics class together along with their other friend Gia. Jamison invited us to her house to go to the stables in her neighborhood and ride her Pony, Slate. Slate is a 2 year old male pony, and he is so cute and has beautiful slate colored eyes. That is where his name came from obviously.So the girls got to brush Slate, paint his hooves with nail pony nail polish. Lauren got a kick out of that. Then they got to ride him bareback and then with the saddle. Jamison's mom, Kari was so great with the girls is showing them how to ride him. And it was HOT today and she was running around the ring so that Slate would trot so the girls would be able to try that out too. Lauren loved it. She did not get scared at anything at all. She looked so cute in the riding helmet, and loved every moment of it. I think she is going to want a pony of her own!!!!!
After the riding was over they got to give Slate a bubble bath. They had so much fun and they all got wet and had a ball. Lauren loved washing his tail. She asked me where the pony shampoo was? Cute!!!! She can't wait to go again. Maybe next time we will have to see about us all going trail riding. Sounds fun!!!!

Riding ponies? I mean come on that just would have never happened if you would have stayed in Cali. I am so glad she is getting to experience all these great things there in Id. She looks absolutely adorable in her riding hat. I always said you little tiny kids are the perfect sizew for jockies. You should get them started in that. :) J/K.
