7/17/09: We went to our first Rodeo. At the Idaho Center in Nampa. The kids were excited since they have never been to something like this before. We bought them little cowboy hats. Lauren made sure to tell me that hers was a "Cowgirl" hat. They had cotton candy too. Yummy!!! There was mutten bustin, which is when little kids ages 5-7 and less then 55 lbs, ride sheep!!!! OMG it was so funny. The kids were laughing hilariously. It looked so fun. To bad we didn't know more in advance that they did that, Justin would have done it. It is open to anyone. Lauren said that she wants to do it next year. We'll see about that. She could always practice on Grandma & Grandpa's sheep.
There was bare back bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, roping, barrel racing, and then the end was the Bull riding. That was exciting for sure. It was pretty cool. The kids had a great time. We will definitly be going again next year.
