Justin's last day of 1st grade

6/03/09:Today was Justin's last day of 1st grade. Lauren and I went in to help out in the class room for the end of the year ice cream party. Justin loves having Lauren come into his class room. He totally loves on her and protects her. All the kids in his class love her too. They all say she is so cute and love to hear her talk and they ask her silly questions about Justin. It is pretty funny.

he was so sweet and helped her make her own Ice cream sundae. Then they sat next to each other and ate and talked to the other kids. Justin also got to be the lead clapper in a clapping game they play. And he is suppose to choose another student at the end of his turn to go, and he choose Lauren, it was funny. All the kids laughed. And Lauren got a kick out of it too. For once they were totally loving each other. But at home they are enemies......:o)

Justin brought home a ton of stuff including his report card. He has improved in several places, and is above grade level in 2 areas, and is meeting all expectations in all other areas. He is reading 130 words per minute, and the year end goal for 1st graders was only 53 words per minute, so he is way above average there. He rocks. His teacher said that he was so pleasant to have in the class room, and he was always prepared each day.

We are so proud of him. He really is a great kid and student. I am sure we will do something nice for him to celebrate!!!! We always reward good behavior or work!!!

I can't believe he is going to be in 2nd grade. Time flies!!!!
