Lauren gets her new cast put on

8/11/08: Lauren got her new PINK cast on today. She did really well. She was a little bit scared at first, and cried a little when they had to turn her leg and then push her foot into a 90 degree angle, I assumed it hurt her a little bit. And she was not happy when they started the casting process with just the white soft stuff, but as soon as she saw him whip out the pink cast material and start rapping it around her leg, she was much better. She really liked it and thought it was pretty cool. As he finished she was totally fine.

After her appt daddy and me and Lauren went to lunch at P.F. Changs in Walnut Creek. It was nice, and Lauren ate with chop sticks. She actually did really well. And she like them. Then we went to Target and she picked out a new Princess dress. She choose sleeping Beauty. And picked two new movies, and a candy treat. That was her reward for being such a good girl at the appt. Daddy had to carry her around. Her cast feels like it adds 10 lbs to her weight. I am sure it is not that much but it feels like it. This carrying her around is going to get old really quick.

So her next appt is in 4 weeks, and they will take the cast off and take another x ray to see how it is healing and then they will decide if she is done or if she needs another cast and 2 more weeks. I am hoping just the 4 weeks. For the sake of all of us!!!!
